Anger Motivates Infertility Sufferers According to Atlantic Article

An interesting and probing article at The Atlantic online describes how women and men suffering from infertility are often able to use their pain, their anger as instruments of change to drive them forward.  Read the whole article but here are some especially pitchy pull-quotes:

New research shows that “negative” emotions, like desperation and anger, often deepen a patient's involvement in decision-making and cause them to deliberate carefully, rather than consigning them to paralyzed indecision or blind commitment to unrealistic goals.

Infertility patients are already, or are becoming, competent, circumspect decision makers, not shrinking violets.

The lived experience of desperation and anger has not mired them in helplessness but helped them to overcome it.
