Not Even the Threat of Hurricane Ana Could Stop ASRM's Annual Meeting and Run for Reproductive Health 5K Run/1 Mile Walk

To kick off the 2014 annual meeting, entitled "Surfing the Waves or Change in Reproductive Medicine" The American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) held it's 47th opening ceremony and reception at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.  This years activities included Hula lessons, photo ops, local artisans, a dance band, and of course lots of wonderful food and drinks!
This years hot topics include:

  •      Frozen Donor Egg Banking: Does Import / Export Effect the Survival and Pregnancy Rates?
  •      New Medical Information Involving Egg Donors
  •      Controversy over Rights of Children Born from Egg Donations: Is full Disclosure of Egg Donors' Identity Necessary?
  •      Egg Donors working with Gestational Surrogacy Agencies
  •      Relationships Between Intended Parents and Gestational Carriers
  •      Gestational Carrier, BMI and Reproductive Outcomes/Risks

To get everyone really ready to learn, ASRM held its 5K Run/1 Mile Walk at the Ala Moana Beach Park in Honolulu, Hawaii.  Even the impending Hurricane Ana held back its fury and veered away from the islands, making this years run a huge success!
