We know it to be true, we recognize it happens often, but it's wonderful to see public acknowledgement of the gratitude a new parent feels for their gestational surrogate. Also, the recognition that this is a relatonship that, should everyone agree, could last a liftime and enrich the lives of all involved.
"Hunger Games" actress Elizabeth Banks recently welcomed her second child via gestational surrogate and in her quote to the press, she beautifully expresses her gratitude for the gift.
"As 2012 winds down and , I have much for which to be thankful. However, nothing can match the joy and excitement my husband and I felt when we recently welcomed our second baby boy, Magnus Mitchell Handelman. Like Felix, Magnus was born via gestational surrogate.
This experience has exceeded all expectations, taught us a great deal about generosity and gratitude, and established a relationship that will last a lifetime."
Congratulations to Banks, to her surrogate and welcome to the world, Baby Magnus.
