In her
speech at the Democratic National Convention,
Michelle Obama described herself as first and foremost, ”Mom-in-Chief.” Here’s an incredibly accomplished woman
married to the leader of the free world and how she defines herself is as Malia
and Sasha’s mom.

It
emphasized that no matter what a woman’s place in the world or how many
initials after her name, if her heart’s desire is to be a mother, then that yearning
supplants all other ambitions. That’s
not to say that her other qualities, achievements, passions and relationships
mean less but that the deep, elemental desire some women feel to mother will
continue to demand their attention, making it hard to concentrate on anything
else, until that desire is fulfilled.
