Choosing Surrogacy After an Emotional Pregnancy

For some women, having a child can be an emotional and distressing situation. Sherri Shepherd, co-host of The View can certainly relate to the emotional turmoil accompanied by experiencing the pre-mature birth of her son, Jeffrey. He was born at 25 weeks and weighed in at 1 lb., 10 oz. In addition, Jeffrey had been a twin, but she had unexpectedly lost his sister at 11 weeks of pregnancy. Sherri had a difficult time dealing with the loss and the hardship that came from having an early birth with pregnancy.

Sherri's experience has led her to the path of wanting a surrogate mother to carry her next baby. Although Sherri is not infertile, she is choosing surrogacy because she cannot deal with the emotional heartbreak that she had previously experienced.

Carrying a child is a rewarding experience, but there are times when mothers like Sherri have difficult pregnancies and need emotional support. Through West Coast Surrogacy, there is an abundance of psychological support offered to Surrogate Mothers and Intended Parents, no matter what the circumstance may be. West Coast Surrogacy is devoted to walking through this journey with the Surrogate and Intended Parent(s), and helping to make this miracle, a life-changing experience.
