This morning, CBS News aired a story on surrogacy, showing a realistic view of who surrogates are and why they choose to become a carrier. Melissa Brisman is interviewed as an attorney/agency owner, while Dr. Smotrich of La Jolla IVF helps a couple from Italy achieve a twin pregnancy with a surrogate. Tom and Jeffrey have twins with the help of a surrogate, and Melissa; a woman who was left infertile after undergoing radiation treatment, sees the birth of her baby with her husband, Michael, by her side.
